Job Title: Program Coordinator (Part-time)
Organization Overview: Orísun Collective is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering creativity and artistic expression among Nigerian youth. Our mission is to inspire the pursuit of creativity in all aspects of life, cultivate an inclusive community enriched by diverse backgrounds and experiences, and instill a sense of cultural dignity and pride among contemporary Nigerian youth.
We are seeking a passionate, organized, and proactive individual to serve as our Program Coordinator. This role involves coordinating, maintaining, and monitoring our various programs, including the flagship annual summer camps and Masterclass events. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the executive team to ensure the success of our events and initiatives, with a special emphasis on grant writing and managing our scholarship program.
This is a fully remote position, but the Program Coordinator will be required to attend occasional in-person meetings with local members of the executive team and participate in local events.
Key Responsibilities
Manage outreach and engagement efforts with participants and other stakeholders (schools, churches, and relevant organizations) with support from directors
Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding for programs and events.
Collaborate with the executive team to identify and pursue sponsorship opportunities.
Support and coordinate implementation of scholarship program for students, including managing selection and communication
Work with the Director of Programs and executive team to design engaging curricula for summer camps.
Plan and implement detailed schedules for summer camps and Masterclass events in coordination with the team.
Assist the executive team in preparing budgets for program events.
Collaborate with the executive team to recruit, train, and manage program volunteers.
Develop and implement program evaluations for summer camps and Masterclass events, with recurring reporting timelines
Perform other duties as required to support the organization’s mission and goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience in project or program coordination (preferred but not required).
Experience with grant writing or willingness to learn is highly valued.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on public speaking.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace tools.
Ability to take initiative, solve problems, and think critically.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
